Nothing out of common sence realy but here it is =)
The guild is it's members. This means taking an active part in the guild

joining in events
- grouping with other guildies of similar level on a fairly regular basis.
- helping others with quests.
- doing what you can to help the guild as a whole.

That does not exclude soloing, grouping with others, or not jumping in to help every person who asks. It is about finding the right balance to benefit you and the guild. And never forget - WoW is a game. Lets have fun, kill horde, and drink ale!

Conduct
Never forget that you carry the guild's name above your head at all times, which makes you an ambassador of ALIVE, conduct yourself in a manner which will earn respect from your fellow players.Be proud of being part of ALIVE, and make those around you happy to see one.

- Be polite, both to guildies and fellow travellers. Be a nice person.
- Don't spam.
- Don't ninja-loot.
- Don't kill steal.
- Try not to get caught up in abusive arguments, especially in public channels.
- Have self-respect. No begging in guild chat, and especially not in general chat or /yell.

By all means ask for help when you need help, but make the distinction. If it is not immediately urgent, try the forums. For quest assistance, do some research, plan a date and time, and ask for help from people via a forum post. It is easier to help those who help themselves in this respect.. Do not spam the guild chat asking for help, if you don't get a responce after the 1s or second time asking understand that no one is able to help at that very moment.

ALIVE is a respectful guild and so shall be it's community and the environment they are in. Do not under any circumstances verbally abuse, offend or fight with fellow guild members in guild chat, or at any public chat, if you have any issues or you have been offended by someone, discuss it in private and ask for the presence of an officer if necessary.

Trade
- Do not sell via guild chat unless you offer guild member's substantial discounts.
- Requesting services (trade skills, etc) should be polite and specific.
- trade skills should be free to other guild members providing they supply the materials.
- If a guildie offers you something cheaply, buy it to use it, not to sell it on elsewhere.

If no response to your request is received in guild chat, then direct w/whisper should not be used. By all means repeat the request after a polite amount of time but do not spam.

Members are required to use some important addons that help in guild raids/events, and can be downloaded here. Info about how to install and use can be found here.

New Member Applicatins
you must be 16 or older to apply.
The minimum level to join <ALIVE> is lvl 70.
Applications are managed either ingame by messaging an officer or online via the Application form found here.

All new recruits have a 2 week probation period and in that time they should spend as much time as possible interacting with the guild - grouping with members, attending events/raids, being active in guild chat etc. After the 2 weeks period is up and the officers are satisfied that the person fits in with the guild they are promoted to a full member.

In some cases the probation period can be increased or even decreased (1 week minimum / 4 week maximum) at the officer's discretion based on comments from guild members. If there are still concerns over the suitability of a recruit at any point during their probation period they will be removed from the guild.

ALTs
You are not entitled to have an ALT in the guild until you are a full member of the guild.

Re-joining Ex-Guild Members
Under officer's discretion rejoining is allowed as along as players have left with good terms and did not leave more than once, they also once again have to go through the probation period.

Events
The primary aim of the guild is to have fun. Please try to remember this, before you get caught up in loot worries, panicking about not having a group, or a myriad of other things that spoil both your enjoyment and that of others.

Any member may arrange an event, raid or quest group, as long as they do not conflict with existing guild events. Every raid / event should have an informational post in the Events board with set information included (based on a template). This will include raid leader/event organizer, level limit (if any), start time, finish time, with specific details and any specific loot details.

Loot
When we run our regular raids, the raid leader is Master Looter, and loot is auctioned at a (roll for mainspecs first, off specs second)
and sould only b rolled for firstly by classes that primarily use those items for e.g priest gets priority over cloth items than a shammy,

In instances with a guild party, we usually encourage the use of need / pass (/greed):
Need if you need!
Greed if you are DisEnchanter (or if no DE'er is pressent).
Pass if you don't need (and a DE'er is pressent).
After the instance we destribute the shards evenly - you might wanna pass if you had lots of loot and others did not. Extra shards might be rolled for.

Guild Bank
The guild bank is open for deposits from all members Regular+, when you might need something from the bank, you can talk to a council member, who can then help you with your request. You are expected to pay for the items (but less than the normal price on AH, ect.)
Some items (mainly uncommon weapons and armor) can be bought for vendorprice if the represent an upgrade to you curent equipment - making them virtually free Smile
Other special rare or expencive items can usually be bought for the AH value listed on Thottbot -20% discount.

Instance assistance
- Low level characters are every much encouraged to instance with other guild members around their level.
- Limit asking for high level character's help.
- people could help it is generally very counter productive for everyone involved.
- Learn and get the experience. from running through instances without higher lvl help.

It will teach you how to work together in a group and play your class effectively, the instances are there to prepare you for endgame, Occasionally higher levels will help out in instances, but this will only limit your experience and should only be at their leisure, if they decide that they have time to help out, this should not be begged for in guild chat.

Finaly we are here to be your firends and not to displine you =) however when neccesery, a warning will be issued for breaking rules. These warning's will be kept track of, if you have received a warning then there is a possibility you will be removed from the guild if you break another rule. These warnings decay 2 weeks from the time of issue. It is possible for you to be immediately kicked from the guild, but for this to happen it will generally only be in the case that you are extremely abusive.

Thx for taking the time to read through ALIVE rules. this will prevent alot of avoidable awkward situations and misunderstandings =)

Rules will be updated and edited as issues arise.
